Privacy

Your privacy at Pawcci.

This policy explains how Pawcci handles personal information for its United States mobile app and website, which are intended for adults age 18 and older.

About This Policy

Effective July 18, 2026. This policy explains how Pawcci collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information through the Pawcci mobile app and public website for users in the United States.

Pawcci is operated by an individual developer based in California, United States.

Information Pawcci Collects

Pawcci receives information from you, from other users who invite or share with you, from device permissions you choose to grant, and from the providers used to operate the service.

  • Account and profile information, such as your email address, sign-in identifier, name, username or handle, profile photo, postal code, and Apple or Google sign-in details when you choose those options.
  • Pet and care information, such as pet names, photos, birth dates, breed, sex, size, weight, care schedules, tasks, reminders, medications, care logs, and health-related notes or documents you choose to add, including vaccine, lab, insurance, or prescription records.
  • Care-team and community information, such as caretaker invitation email addresses, shared pet access, public pet profile details, messages, replies, reactions, photos, check-ins, meetup information, and reports or support messages you submit.
  • Location information when you choose map features, including foreground precise or approximate location, check-in or meetup locations, a saved nearby-alert location, and temporary map spots. Pawcci does not request background location.
  • Device and technical information, such as push tokens, app installation or device identifiers, platform, notification preferences and history, first-party notification delivery and open events with related notification or reminder identifiers and app state, and operational information that providers normally process, such as IP address, request time, browser or app information, and error or security logs.
  • Information stored locally on your device for authentication sessions, preferences, feature state, drafts, and app operation.
  • If you join the Pawcci waitlist: the email address you submit and the time you joined. The waitlist does not collect the page you joined from, a referrer, device details, or Good Outings responses.
  • If you submit Good Outings interest: your email and, if you choose to provide them, optional city, role, and outing interests, plus a submission identifier and submission timestamp. The form does not ask for a street address, phone number, child name, health record, or certification document.

How Pawcci Uses Information

Pawcci uses information to create and secure accounts; provide pet profiles, care schedules, reminders, documents, care-team collaboration, community features, maps, check-ins, meetups, and notifications; remember preferences; provide support; process privacy and deletion requests; prevent abuse; maintain reliability; and comply with law.

Location information is used only when needed for a map feature you choose, such as showing your position on a map, verifying or displaying a check-in, planning a meetup, or finding activity near a saved alert location.

Pawcci uses first-party notification delivery and open events only to understand whether reminders arrive and are opened, diagnose delivery issues, and improve notification reliability. These events are not sent to an advertising or third-party analytics provider and are not used for advertising or cross-service profiling.

Pawcci waitlist data is used only to send availability updates to the email address you submitted. It is not combined with Good Outings interest data.

Good Outings interest data is used only to understand demand, evaluate a possible pilot, and contact you about the Good Outings interest you expressed. It is not added to a general marketing list without separate consent.

Pawcci is not veterinary advice. Health reminders and care history are organization tools and should not replace guidance from a veterinarian.

When Information Is Shared

Information is shared with other people when you choose a shared feature. Care-team members can see information for pets shared with them. Public pet profile links, visible check-ins, meetups, messages, replies, reactions, and other shared activity can be seen by the people or audience indicated in the app.

Pawcci relies on service providers to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and edge functions; Expo for app services and notifications; Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for delivery of push notifications; Apple and Google for optional sign-in; Google Maps for map display; and Vercel for this public website.

Pawcci requires service providers to protect personal information consistently with this policy and applicable law and to use it only to provide their services. Providers may process information in the United States or other places where they operate.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect the rights, safety, and security of people, pets, Pawcci, or the public; investigate abuse or fraud; or support a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Pawcci does not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The current release has no ads and does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics services, or advertising or analytics cookies. Pawcci does not track users across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

Pawcci stores waitlist signups in Supabase. Waitlist records remain separate from Good Outings interest submissions and are not sent to the Good Outings submission provider.

When Good Outings interest capture is available, the submission service or services are named beside the form and on this page. The form remains unavailable until that processing information and a privacy contact are configured.

Location, Camera, Photos, And Notifications

Location access is optional and requested only while you use location-based features. You can deny or later disable location permission in your device settings, although map, check-in, meetup, and nearby-alert features may then be limited.

Camera and photo-library access is used only when you choose to take or select a photo or document. Notifications are optional and can be changed in Pawcci or in your device settings. Pawcci does not use location, camera, or photo-library permissions to collect location or media in the background.

Privacy And Security

Pawcci uses HTTPS or equivalent encrypted connections for information sent between the app, website, and service providers. Pawcci also uses account authentication, database authorization controls, scoped access to files that are not intended to be public, limited administrative access, and operational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use care when choosing information to make public or share with other users, and contact Pawcci support if you believe your account or information may be at risk.

Adults Only

Pawcci is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and Pawcci does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If Pawcci learns that an under-18 user provided personal information, Pawcci will take steps to close the account and delete the information. Contact Pawcci support if you believe this has happened.

Your Choices And Requests

You can update many account, pet, care, visibility, and notification choices in the app. You can also withdraw device permissions in your device settings, stop using a shared feature, or delete content where the app offers that control.

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, or ask questions about how it is handled. Pawcci may need to verify your identity and request before acting. Use the email address associated with your account when possible.

You may ask Pawcci support to remove your waitlist email before the normal retention period ends. Use the same email address you submitted when possible so we can locate the record.

Only an email is required for the Good Outings interest form. City, role, and outing-interest details are optional, and you can leave all of them blank. If you share a city, enter a city only, never a street address or private meeting location.

To ask for help, correct Good Outings interest information, withdraw that interest, or request deletion, contact Pawcci support from the Support or Data deletion pages using the same email address you submitted when possible.

Retention And Deletion

Pawcci generally keeps account and service information while your account is active and as needed to operate and secure the service. After a verified deletion request, Pawcci processes deletion promptly. Timing may vary when verification, shared records, legal requirements, or provider backup schedules require additional handling.

Deletion generally covers information controlled by Pawcci and associated only with your account. Information shared with a care team or other users may require separate handling so another person's records or rights are not deleted improperly. Information that another user copied or shared outside Pawcci cannot be retrieved by Pawcci.

Pawcci may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal compliance, or enforcement. Service-provider backups may take additional time to clear under the provider's normal deletion schedule.

Waitlist records are retained for no more than 14 months after signup. Pawcci schedules deletion once a record is older than 12 months, and you may ask for earlier deletion through Pawcci support.

Active Good Outings research records are kept only until the research or relevant pilot follow-up ends, and no longer than 12 months after submission. You may ask for earlier correction or deletion through Pawcci support. A submission service may take additional time to clear secured backups under its own deletion schedule.

Policy Changes

Pawcci may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated, and additional notice will be provided when required by law or when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
